This seven-residue analogue illustrates how a small change to a peptide creates a separate research material. Its sequence, the original shorter peptide and the experimental context all deserve separate attention.

From a shorter peptide to an analogue
The reference sequence is Thr–Lys–Pro–Arg–Pro–Gly–Pro. The first four residues correspond to tuftsin; the additional Pro–Gly–Pro segment creates a distinct seven-residue structure. A family relationship is useful background, but it is not evidence that two different sequences behave identically.
A 2016 study examined expression of a panel of 84 neurotransmission-related genes in rat frontal cortex. The investigators compared measurements at one and three hours, illustrating why time point is part of the result rather than an incidental detail.

Keep the model attached to the finding
The cited experiment measured gene expression in an animal model. It did not test a bottle from this catalog or establish a universal response to every formulation of this peptide. When describing a result, keep the species, tissue and assay alongside it.
For your reading notes, separate the molecular hypothesis from the observation. A change in a gene panel can help researchers investigate a pathway; it does not by itself establish all the downstream steps in that pathway.
